My Accent
| What American accent do you have? Your Result: The Midland "You have a Midland accent" is just another way of saying "you don't have an accent." You probably are from the Midland (Pennsylvania, southern Ohio, southern Indiana, southern Illinois, and Missouri) but then for all we know you could be from Florida or Charleston or one of those big southern cities like Atlanta or Dallas. You have a good voice for TV and radio. | |

I was surprised to see I ended up with a MidLand accent and I've barely visisted those places. My hunch: I attended speech therapy as a child due to a speech impediment so I was taught how to speak, rather than picking it up, so perhaps that's how I was taught.

"Judging by how you talk you are probably from north Jersey, New York City, Connecticut or Rhode Island. Chances are, if you are from New York City (and not those other places) people would probably be able to tell if they actually heard you speak."
but that's the thing - they don't. I am pretty accent-free.
ahhh well, tomorrow dons another day . . .

Anna, more than you can possibly understand.
Ann, remember all the abuse you took over "New Joysey" at camp? What was it, "Tick-tock-talk"? We can tell where you're from.
