News-Journal: Always an enemy of conservatives
I suppose I shouldn't be surprised by anything the News-Journal does any more, but they always seem to find new lows to sink to.
As today is the anniversary of the declaration that unborn children can be slaughtered in the womb, there was a guest editorial supporting the right to life of unborn children. How was the author described in the byline?
James Haley is a anti-abortion rights lawyer, who practices in Wilmington.
I know Jim (or I'm pretty he's the guy I know) and, like me, he's pro-life, not anti-abortion. We oppose abortion because it denied the right to life of the most defenseless members of our society.
Would the News-Journal call those on the other side of this issue "pro-death" or "anti-child"? Of course not. Aren't those who seek to defend the defenseless worthy of the same respect.
Apparently the News-Journal doesn't think so.
