I often dream about something like this when my house is shaking from cars on the street playing their bass so loud that the drivers must have permanent hearing damage.

When I was in college at UD, I lived on the South Mall for several years. They would put on these concerts by the student health building a couple times per year. These were great if you didn't live nearby (or lived on the parking lot side of the building), but awful if you did. All we heard for days beforehand was people setting up stages and sound equipment, especially on Saturday mornings when every one wants to be asleep.
At one point my friend Kim had enough put her stereo speakers in her window, put the most annoying CD she owned in the player, and turned the volume up to 11. It was mostly futile, but it was something.
